Today is the first day of April. While it is best known as April Fool’s Day, here on the blog I want us to think about it as the first day of Spring Renewal.

Songs and music are my worship language and help bring me closer to God. One of my favorite songs for the Easter Season that has been on my heart lately is “How the Deep the Father’s love for Us” by Stuart Townend. This year this song has even deeper meaning for me as I recently lost my dad. This song brings comfort in knowing the realization of what Jesus’s sacrifice means.

Recently I learned that sheep’s blood is an antivenom for snake bites. I think this is a beautiful analogy of the power of Jesus’s blood over Satan’s venomous attacks on our life.

All of us will experience pain and brokenness at some point in our lives because we live in a fallen world. Most people have a variety of past wounds. These wounds frequently have a negative impact on our emotions, thoughts, behaviors, and relationships. Bethesda Christian Counseling understands that during these times, more than ever, we need someone who will understand and guide us back to a positive life path that is not only fulfilling in emotional, physical and mental needs but in spiritual needs as well.

Even though we don’t want the storms of life to ravage us, God can use these circumstances to bring light to his glory and make Himself known to others through our pain. So, take hope when trouble comes your way. Know that God sees all, cares about you, has a purpose and can use these times for His good.

I believe the value of spending time in the Scriptures is not emphasized enough in our current times. Why read it? Reading the Bible is a huge part of how we follow Jesus.
