A couple weeks ago, I had the pleasure of speaking with two of our managers at our Sioux City Ranch. One of them, Katrina, told me of an older man who came if a few times a week. One day, she found out that his wife had passed away, and as she talked to him he said that he didn’t like to go out to dinner. It was lonely and only reminded him of his loss when there was no one to talk to. Katrina said she would sit and have dinner with him, which she did one day. Taking time out of her busy schedule to sit and listen to a guest who talked about his wife and their life together.
Another reminder that everyone who walks in our door have stuff in their life, and when we see them with our heart, we are open to make a personal connection. When we show our guests we care, we are truly serving them from our heart.
Stay tuned tomorrow, for a video of Lori, the GM of our Sioux City Ranch as she makes a personal connection with another guest.
