Stephen's Speech

Acts 6:8-7:60

Stephen is considered the first martyr for the cause of Christ and Christians in the world. That is what he is known for. But after posting yesterday about how important it is to look for, see, and then share the great deeds of God in our lives, I wanted to show and example of how somebody in the Bible did that.

Check out some of the great and glorious deeds of God in his speech that are found in the book of Acts that Stephen shared about God:

• Chapter 7, verse 2: God appeared to man
• Chapter 7, verse 3: God spoke to man
• Chapter 7, verse 8: God fulfilled a promise to man
• Chapter 7, verse 10: God rescued a man
• Chapter 7, verse 17: God fulfilling another promise to man

There are many other examples. But clearly, Stephen had HEARD, SEEN, OR LEARNED of the great and glorious deeds of God and made it his life purpose and mission to talk about them and share them with others so that future generations may know of who God is.

Sadly, because of this he was killed.
