Friday Devotional - The Challenge

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
— 1 Corinthians 10:31

Every year our community hosts its annual Orange City Tulip Festival. Three + days of Dutch costumes, fun, food, rides, parades, and lots of people. There’s something about festivals and parades that bring people together—music blaring, people laughing, streets packed with strangers from every direction.
Thousands of visitors roaming and enjoying the town where the Pizza Ranch Corp Offices are. It’s easy to get swept up in the crowd, to blend in, to stay quiet.
But faith wasn’t meant to hide in the background.
Jesus calls us to be light in the world, not just in quiet corners but right in the middle of the noise. It’s our yearly opportunity for our town and company to show, share, and be bold with our Faith.
Boldness in faith doesn’t mean preaching on a street corner (unless you’re called to). It’s about being intentional with our Faith. It can look like wearing a shirt that reflects His love, offering a kind word to a stranger, praying silently for someone nearby, or simply choosing joy when others choose sarcasm or cynicism.
Romans 1:16 says, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes…”
At a parade, everyone is watching something. Why not let them see your faith in how you love, speak, and carry yourself?
You might be the only glimpse of Jesus someone sees this week. Wherever you find yourself, let YOUR light shine.
Prayer:
Lord, help me be bold in my faith, even in a crowd. Let Your love shine through me so that others may feel Your presence—right here, in the middle of the celebration. Amen.
