Sitting at breakfast last week, the group started our marathon of meetings in prayer. I’m honored to be in this space, a fly on the wall among this faithful bunch. Faithful to their families, faithful to their work and business partnerships, faithful to God. I hear these genuine words spoken with humility and dependence on the author of all things, “Give us wisdom and discernment, Lord. We ask for Your guidance...” 

An invitation.

We believe that God is ever present and He is. He doesn’t NEED us to acknowledge His presence to come alongside, but I believe He desires it. This ask is simple and yet incredibly profound. I’m willing to bank on the notion that it changes everything.

So, on this Monday your mission, if you choose to accept it is this: Remain dependent on and in constant conversation with the Lord. Invite the Holy Spirit into your day, into everything you do. Smith Wigglesworth said this, “I never pray for more than fifteen minutes at a time. . . but I never go more than fifteen minutes without praying.”

“Commit to the Lord whatever you do,
    and he will establish your plans.” – Proverbs 16:2-4
