Monday Mission - Find the God-Shot
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
— 1 Corinthians 10:31
What stands out to you when you’re reading the Bible? What are you looking for when you’re reading God’s Word? So often, I’ve looked for how I can apply it to my own life. How do I fit into the story? While there’s certainly a time and place for application, lately, I’ve been challenged to try a different approach. In The Bible Recap plan, some of us have been prompted to find the “God-Shot” of what we’ve just read. What does this passage tell me about God? Where did I see God’s character today? I find my quiet time goes much smoother when I’m there for a specific purpose. So now, when I’m doing my daily readings, I’ve been keeping a purple pen handy to track where I’ve spotted a hint of God’s character.
Your mission this week is to be on the lookout for God’s character as you read His Word. Where’s your “God-Shot?”
