Thursday Thoughts - Daily Bread
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
— 1 Corinthians 10:31
In Matthew chapter 6, Jesus taught his disciples the Lord’s Prayer. In Matthew 6:11, He says, “Give us this day our daily bread.” Jesus is teaching his disciples to ask and trust God to give them what they need for that day—not worrying about the next week, year, or lifetime.
It can be hard not to look ahead and worry about the future, but Jesus later reminds us in verse 34, “Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself." We are called to trust God daily and leave tomorrow in His hands.
