Proverbs 9:10 says, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”

The beginning of wisdom is not about becoming more confident in our own ability—it starts with fearing the Lord, seeking Him, and walking in humility. Once we humble ourselves, we are also called to gain knowledge of the Holy One. And how do we do that? By reading His Word. True wisdom starts with God, not ourselves.
