So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

Sometimes I get busy, so distracted that I forget what's really important. I don't mean to - it's just that life happens. Grocery store trips need to be made, kids need to get to school and practices, meals need to be cooked, relationships need to be tended, jobs need to be worked, and 8-hours of sleep is the goal.

But guess what? The Bible gives grace for even the busy times:

1 Corinthians 10:31 - So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."

How much comfort is that? That even in the middle of life's busyness and being present in the season that we find ourselves, we can approach everything with a heart-attitude of bringing glory to God. That grocery run? Maybe a friendly hello and smile is just what the cashier needs that day. Maybe the meal that needs to be cooked is your spouse or child or neighbor's favorite food and it's a blessing to them as the day is winding down. Maybe God brings someone to your kid's practice or to your work today that the Holy Spirit will work through your conversation to shed some light on an area they didn't even know was dim.

I'm so thankful that God is always with us and always working things out for our good and His glory, even when we don't see or know it's happening.
