Wednesday Stories of Impact - Jamaica Service Trip
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
— 1 Corinthians 10:31
Pizza Ranch’s annual service trip to Jamaica looked a little different this year. In late October, Jamaica was hit by Hurricane Melissa, a catastrophic storm. The group made the decision to go on the trip in November as originally planned, but their plans shifted to hurricane relief. Their mission was two-fold: Work and Ministry.
Work
- Roof: They replaced some of the church and school roofs.
- Pillars: They dug holes for pillars for a replacement awning and bent and tied rebar for said pillars.
- Clean-up: They scrubbed the school/school furniture and transferred debris piles.
Ministry
- They assembled care packages and passed them out, as well as some Bibles and snacks, to the church members and visitors at the Wednesday night service.
- Kade Krosschell gave an evangelism seminar Wednesday afternoon and preached at the service that evening.
We are thankful that this group was able to make an impact during such a challenging time.
