Wednesday Story of Impact - Community Engagement

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
— 1 Corinthians 10:31

The month of May is mental health awareness.
Iowa’s Make It OK is a community campaign to reduce stigma by starting conversations and increasing understanding about mental illness. Make It OK offers resources, tools, and personal stories about mental illness to ensure Iowans have the tools they need to support their own mental health and educate those around them.
Recently, the Pizza Ranch Support Center team took a few minutes after devotions and prayer to chalk uplifting messages on community sidewalks to spread kindness and hope. Community Engagement is a Key Business Driver at Pizza Ranch and this was an opportunity to participate in our local community efforts to raise awareness for mental health.
Join us as we put awareness into action on May 1 by chalking uplifting messages in your community. We invite you to chalk simple kindness to remind and raise mental health awareness. Post a picture of your chalk message and use the hashtags #makeitokIOWA and #HeyIowa.
