So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

Source of Power

We’ve been getting together every week to pray for the last 14+ years here at Pizza Ranch, Inc. I love it that this has been a norm here for so many. Prayer is part of the “Who” we are as a company….it’s part of our “why.” It’s a source of power for our company.

The question I ask myself is, Is it a source of power in my own life?" What about you, is it a source of power in your life?

Prayer was a source of power in the life of the early church as well. In Acts 3:1 we see evidence of prayer right after God sent His Holy Spirit in Acts 2. It says, “One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time of prayer-at 3 in the afternoon.” They typically prayed at 9am, 3pm, and when the sun went down. The very next verse begins the story of a miraculous healing.

Why did they pray? Why do we pray?

  1. It becomes a source of power and strength.
  1. It provides boldness.
  1. It provides direction and guidance.
  1. It provides wisdom and discernment.
  1. It gives the ability to take action.

May we find ways to fit prayer into our lives. Whether it’s a formal time alone with God, or with a group, or throughout the day in our head. Whether we pray at 9:00 in the morning, 3:00 in the afternoon, or when the sun goes down. Find times that work best for you. May we use prayer as a source of power in our lives.
