Thursday Thoughts - The Prayer of Faith
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
— 1 Corinthians 10:31
Prayer is an important part of our walk with Jesus. In the book of James, we see the power of praying in community with others. Faithful prayer can have powerful results. Prayers can lead to healing and forgiveness. Maybe we don't always get physical healing but there is spiritual healing that can take place as well. When we face times of trial remember to pray and to share your challenges and concerns with others so they can pray with you and for you.
James 1:13-16 The Prayer of Faith
13 Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. 14 Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. 16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
