So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

Key Verse: “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”— Joshua 1:9 (NIV)

We often long for comfort — routines that feel safe, people who don’t challenge us, paths we already know. But God hasn’t called us to comfort; He’s called us to courage. To boldness. To trust Him enough to step into the unknown.

Joshua 1:9 Is about Moses, the great leader, being gone. Joshua is now in charge of leading Israel into the Promised Land — a daunting, dangerous mission. He was likely afraid, unsure, overwhelmed. But God tells him: Be strong. Be courageous. I am with you.

That’s not a suggestion. It’s a command.

  • Boldness is obedience, not personality.

You don’t need to be loud or fearless to be bold. You need to be obedient. Boldness is saying “yes” to God even when it’s scary. Even when it’s uncomfortable.

  • Boldness happens with God.

God doesn’t push you out alone. He says: “I will be with you wherever you go.” He promises His presence.

  • Comfort zones are growth killers.

Our calling will rarely be in your comfort zone. God stretches us because He wants to grow us. Like muscles, our faith needs resistance to strengthen.

Where is God asking us to be bold? Maybe it’s sharing your faith. Maybe it’s forgiving someone who hurt you. Maybe it’s leading when you feel unqualified. Maybe its singing out and being bold at National Conference worship.

God isn’t looking for perfect people. He’s looking for willing hearts.
