Friday Devotional - Stop Being Indifferent

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

We have an amazing partnership with Wildwood Hills Ranch.  Wildwood Hills Ranch exists to transform lives and strengthen communities by providing healing, hope, and God’s unconditional love to children and youth at risk.  Last week I spent a couple days there with the board hearing example after example of lives being changed.  I want everyone to see children like this camp does…like Jesus does.

“But Jesus called them to him, saying, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God.’” – Luke 18:16 (ESV)

Children hold a special place in the heart of God. Throughout Scripture, we see how tenderly Jesus treated children—blessing them, defending them, and lifting them up as examples of faith. But in a broken world, many children experience things no child should ever endure. Abuse—whether physical, emotional, sexual, or neglect—shatters innocence and leaves deep wounds.

As followers of Christ, we are called to be His hands and feet to the vulnerable. God is a healer. He binds up the brokenhearted (Psalm 147:3), and often, He uses His people to do this work. Whether you’re a camp like Wildwood Hills Ranch, parent, teacher, counselor, or simply someone who cares, your compassion and presence can reflect the love of Christ in powerful, healing ways.

Let us never be indifferent. Let us advocate, speak up, support, serve, and offer consistent love. In doing so, we create space where children who have been hurt can begin to feel safe, valued, and restored.
