So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

Lent is a 40-day journey of drawing closer to God by walking in the footsteps of Jesus. Before beginning His public ministry, Jesus spent 40 days in the wilderness—fasting, praying, and facing temptation. It was a season of stripping away distraction and strengthening His dependence on the Father.

Lent invites us into that same kind of intentional space.

It’s not just about giving something up; it’s about making room. When we release comforts, habits, or distractions, we create space for deeper prayer, honest reflection, and renewed trust. Lent reminds us that transformation often happens in the quiet wilderness seasons of life.

Maybe this year, instead of asking, “What should I give up?” we ask,
“What is God inviting me to let go of so I can hold onto Him more tightly?”
