Thursday Thought - God Named the Stars

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
— 1 Corinthians 10:31

One of my favorite things is to feel small in God’s creation. I love to go for walks in the evening and by the time I return home, it will sometimes be dark, the sun long set. On the nights when the sky is clear and all I see are stars, I feel impossibly small. God created every single star, hung them exactly where they belong in the sky and yet He created me; and yet, He created you. He wanted both of us in His world, at this time, for a purpose. The same God who called the world into existence with just words is the same God who has charted a specific and unique path for each of us.
If you are reading this and need reassurance that God has a plan, a path and a purpose for you in whatever season you’re in, please take this post as a sign. Not because of anything I’m writing, but because God is real and loves you and knew that you needed to see this.
The next time it’s a dark and starry night, step outside. Look up and around and know that the God who named the stars also named you and calls you His own.
Ephesians 2:10 – For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
