Romans 12:9-13: ⁹ Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. ¹⁰ Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. ¹¹ Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. ¹² Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. ¹³ Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.

This lays out what we are called to do in a way that we can all pretty easily understand. We are to love authentically while choosing what is good and rejecting what is evil. We must give mutual respect, humility, and selflessness to others in all of our relationships. We should work to pursue joy, patience, and faithfulness, especially while going through hard times. Lastly, we are called to be generous and welcoming to those in need, even when they are different from ourselves.
