I believe in renewal. The renewal of heart, mind, and soul. It’s something that impacts me deeply…and those around me. For you it can be the same thing. Are you in need of some renewal? One passage that I’ve thought about over the years is Romans 12:2. Paul says to “be transformed by the renewal of your mind."

The word renewal always catches my attention. The dictionary has 3 definitions that stick out to me:

1^st - “To make like new, to restore”. This to me is what happens when we first understand a truth. It’s like new, and perfect!

2^nd - “To do again”

3^rd - “To begin again”. It’s the continual reminder. Hearing a truth again and again.

Along with that, there’s a book that talks around this same topic. The book is called “Jesus + Nothing = Everything”. This author shares how powerful it is to “preach the gospel to ourselves every day”. To be renewing ourselves. And that If you’ve put your trust to Christ, there is very good news/promises that we need to remember to be renewed. In a nutshell:

1. You’ve already been qualified,
2. you’ve already been delivered,
3. you’ve already been transformed,
4. you’ve already been redeemed,
5. and you’ve already been forgiven.

According to the author It’s not about receiving these things once and being done, it’s about being reminded of what we ALREADY have in Christ. That He has done for us what we could never do. “Renewing” our mind in that truth daily brings transformation.
