Thursday Thoughts - Reconnecting with Gratitude

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
— 1 Corinthians 10:31

Psalm 107:1 (NIV): “Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.”
As discussed earlier this week, summer is a time to slow down and savor the simple pleasures of life – uninterrupted time with family, nature in bloom, and moments of rest. However, even in all the beauty that this season offers, it can be easy to rush through plans and forget to notice the goodness that surrounds us every day. This year, what if you pause to reconnect with gratitude? When we give thanks, we shift our focus from what we’re missing to what we already have. Our eyes are opened to God’s presence in the small moments – a summer rain, fresh-cut grass, an evening walk, or an ice cream cone. Psalm 107:1 reminds us that God is always good, and His love never fades. When we exercise gratitude, we are anchored in that truth. No matter what we may be going through, there is always something to be thankful for.
