Thursday Thoughts - Romans 8:5
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
— 1 Corinthians 10:31
Romans 8:5-6 “Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.”
What we dwell on often shapes how we live. When our minds are consumed by worry, comparison, resentment, or negativity, our peace can quickly disappear. But when we intentionally turn our thoughts toward God, His promises, and His presence, we make room for His peace to guide us.
This doesn't mean we will never face anxious thoughts or difficult emotions. It means we can choose where we direct our attention and what truth we allow to shape our perspective. Instead of replaying yesterday's disappointments or worrying about tomorrow's uncertainties, pause today and turn your thoughts toward the One who holds both.
