So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

As we approach the final days before Easter, I did a little research into the history of our beloved Easter bunny. Do you know the Easter bunny is more than just a cute tradition delivering chocolate eggs?  I hope you enjoy this little bit of trivia.  Happy Easter!

The specific "Easter Bunny" we know today likely originated in 16th-century Germany.

  • The Legend: German Lutherans created the "Easter Hare" (Osterhase). Originally, he played a role similar to Santa Claus—judging whether children were well-behaved at the start of the Easter season.
  • The Nest: Children would build "nests" (the precursor to the modern Easter basket) out of their caps or bonnets, hoping the Easter Hare would leave colorful eggs as a reward for their faith and character.
