Tuesday - Faith like a Child
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
— 1 Corinthians 10:31
Jesus wants us to become like little children in order to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. I have 3 children, and when I think about what they were like as little children and how that might relate to what Jesus wants us to be like, this is what I see. Little children rely on others to survive. They don't worry. They live more carefree. Children don't yet fully understand and are tirelessly inquisitive with their questions. They imitate others. Their eyes sparkle and they find joy in the simplest things. They sing loud, unashamed by a few off-key notes. They smile, laugh and have fun.
May we strive to be more like little children, in need of Jesus to survive and trusting in him everyday. May we tirelessly seek to know him and imitate him. May we worship him, unashamed of who he's created us to be. May we smile, laugh and find joy in each day.
Matthew 18:1-4 About that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who is greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven?” 2 Jesus called a little child to him and put the child among them. 3 Then he said, “I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven. 4 So anyone who becomes as humble as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.
