“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” — Proverbs 3:5

Here’s a truth worth remembering today: You don’t have to understand everything to trust God. We often want God to explain the plan before we agree to follow it. We want to know where something is headed, how it will work out, and why certain things are happening. But faith rarely works that way. Think about the words “lean not on your own understanding.” When you lean on something, you’re putting your weight on it. You’re trusting it to hold you up. God is telling us not to put the full weight of our lives on our own limited perspective.

    We see today. God sees the whole story.

    We see the obstacle. God sees what can come from it.

    We see the delay. God sees the timing.

    We see uncertainty. God sees the destination.

When something doesn't make sense today, resist the urge to immediately assume something has gone wrong. Instead, remind yourself: “My understanding is limited, but God's is not.”

Ask God for wisdom. Make the best decision you can with what you know. Then trust Him with what you don't know.

Faith isn't having every answer. Faith is knowing who you trust when you don't have the answers.
