Friday Devotional - Psalm 90:17
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
— 1 Corinthians 10:31
“May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us—yes, establish the work of our hands.”
We just had the opportunity to experience our Pizza Ranch National Conference. It was awesome! After a conference where everyone worked hard to serve, encourage, and bless others, it’s easy to focus only on what we accomplished. But Psalm 90 reminds us that the lasting impact of our work comes from God’s favor and His hand upon it.
We may never fully know all the ways God used a kind word, a welcoming smile, or an act of service to encourage someone. Yet God delights in taking ordinary acts of faithfulness and producing eternal fruit. Our role is to serve faithfully; His role is to establish the work and bring about the results.
As we return home, we can thank God not only for the visible successes, but also for the unseen ways He was at work—in the conversations, relationships, and moments that only He can use to touch hearts. We pray the same for each of you.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for the privilege of serving others. Thank You for every opportunity to please, bless, and benefit those around us. We acknowledge that any lasting impact comes from Your hand and Your favor. Establish the work of our hands, and may the seeds planted this week bear fruit for Your glory. Amen.
