This Beatitude is another favorite that I have; it really helps me in times of need or when I'm feeling guilty about a particular sin in my life. I believe the Lord is always looking for ways to show us that he is still with us and comforts us.

Matthew 5:4 - “Blessed are those that mourn, for they will be comforted.” The spirit of the Lord helps us to ease our suffering. The bible tells us that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted. Mourning, in this context, may also refer to a deep sadness over sin. This discernment leads to repentance, which leads to forgiveness of sins.
