Ephesians 1:18 – I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people.

My Life Application Study Bible’s note about this particular verse says that “Paul wants the hearts of all believes to be enlightened. We need clear minds and open hearts to grasp the truth of our hope. The hope we have in Christ means more than a vague assurance that the future will be good. Indeed, it means being certain that God will do as he has promised. Let us trust and expect God to bring it about and wait patiently for Jesus’ arrival.

As Christ-followers, we have the best hope in Jesus. Hope for a future where there’s no sin, sadness or pain. Hope for our families and friends here, and hope of seeing those who have gone before us. So thankful that God has called us to have this hope and live in that hope every day.
