I went online to confirm the store's hours and read that it closed at 9PM. We entered and paid at 7:32PM. Salad bar was half empty, lettuce looked terrible. Chicken was hard as a rock, looked like it had been out there all night? dressing, gravy was 1/3 full and looked terrible also. Asked about a chicken refill and got a "weird" look... took them until 8:15 to get new chicken on the food bar. The whole time we were there no new pizzas were added to the pizza bar. Looked like everyone's main concern was cleaning up and getting out of there. We were asked at 8:20 if we wanted anything else off the food bars and at this point, we just said no, we were done. Very disappointed... we drove all the way from Woodbine, IA to eat there as I had previously lived in Breda, IA and had frequented that store in the past with no problems. We perhaps should have stopped off in Denison, Ia. instead.... I spent $64.53 for a meal for 4 people, 3 of which were upset, one only ate the breadsticks, so she was okay with it. one other thing... we had to pile up our used plates 6-7 high and ended up setting them on an empty table twice, so that we had room to eat before anyone came and collected them. Not a very professional way to operate a restaurant in my opinion. Have a nice day.

I did a to go container. Food was good, however making you grab your food, bringing it back to the counter, your employee “inspecting” it and then putting the lid on it before I pay is not only unsanitary, but your making the food cold. She was not at the checkout so I had to wait 3-4 minutes for her after I got the food. She was cleaning off tables, so no handwashing & then she put the lid on my container. Totally unsanitary.

We were very disappointed in our experience when we were there. The chicken and sides were not very warm. No one came around and picked up our used plates until we were leaving.
