Noticed a lot of fingerprint smudges along the wood on top of the booths and chairs as well as the entrance doors - concerning at any time but especially during covid. There were no individual packets of dressing, only the multi-use squirt bottles - when I asked a worker she said they don't have the packets because of Covid, which makes no sense. Single use is always better than multi-use. The chicken came out very dark in color, looked burnt and tasted like OLD oil. Did not taste burned, but my husband, who has previously worked in a restaurant where broasted chicken was served, said he thought the oil was strained too many times and needed replaced. There was also a period of about 30 minutes where there was no chicken at all on the buffet. We were there at approximately 6 pm and there was a fairly decent number of other people there - many which kept asking for the chicken. It was quite a disappointment. I have also been to the Carroll, IA Pizza Ranch - the staff at Fort Dodge need to go there to see a CLEAN restaurant. Oh, I also heard that they have a new manager that moved up.....and apparently the old manager is no longer there and collecting disability now.....things I really don't care to hear workers talk about in the dining room. It is 26 miles to go to Fort Dodge and 50 miles to go to Carroll. We will go to Carroll if/when we want Pizza Ranch.....if we ever want it again because it was THAT BAD.
