Last week our focus was on planting seeds that can grow into fruit for the kingdom. This week we'll focus on the harvest.
The idea of harvesting fruit is a theme in the Bible that has many applications. The takeaway for today is that after seeds are planted, many grow and bear fruit. At that point there is a need to harvest them.
Your mission today and this week is to HELP BRING IN THE HARVEST.
It's been said many ways regarding mission work that you can either Go, Send, or Pray. Everybody can do at least one of those things and they all help to bring in the harvest. Which one(s) have you done before?
“Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.””
