Thursday Thought - What is the theme of Psalm 119?

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
— 1 Corinthians 10:31

Wednesday Story of Impact

At 176 total verses, Psalm 119 is the longest chapter in the Bible. And although it carries many themes and instructions, there is one common part that is mentioned in almost every verse.

The Word of God.

Whether it is "Word", "ways", "statutes", "decrees", "law", "precepts", "commands", "promise" - the Word of God is mentioned in almost every verse. That can tell us something about God and His desires for us. In the longest chapter in His entire holy Word, God did not mention things like discipleship, or programs, or fellowship, or offerings, or any other (very important) themes of what He calls us to do and be as believers in Him. No. Instead, it is focused on His Word. If we do anything in a day, may it be that we spend time reading, studying, and memorizing the Word of God.
