Around the world people are in bondage, hoping for a day to be set free. It can be mental, physical, emotional, spiritual, financial, and so much more. And when a person is set free from their bondage it is a time to celebrate. Entire countries celebrate their freedoms that were typically fought for and paid for in blood. In America, that day of celebration is today, July 4th. The day that is remembered as Independence Day in the United States of America.

As outstanding of a day and an event that it is to celebrate freedom of a nation. There is a freedom at a personal level that is more impactful, more important, and more long lasting. A quick overview of the situation that all men and women face is as follows:

1. Then God said "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness." (The Bible, book of Genesis, Chapter 1, Verse 26)
2. He said, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?" (Genesis 3:11) and "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23)
3. And the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever (Revelation 20:10) and "And these will go away into eternal punishment" (Matthew 25:46"

Humans have a MASSIVE ISSUE!!! We are sinners, and we are destined for an eternity in hell. A bondage that will last forever and ever and ever. An infinite timeline that we cannot grasp in our minds. That is the bondage we inherit when we are conceived and born. We all face that bondage and it doesn't matter what country you live in, what year you were born, or what your dreams and desires are. That is the truth. But there is GOOD NEWS on how to get OUT OF THAT BONDAGE.

1. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23)
2. Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9-10)
3. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16)
4. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed (John 8:36)
5. FOR FREEDOM, Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery (Galatians 5:1).
