Friday Devotional - A Difference Maker for the Kingdom
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
— 1 Corinthians 10:31
God empowers, strengthens, and uses all those who claim Jesus as Lord and Savior. Most of us would consider ourselves as unworthy or unusable. But Scripture is clear about the type of people God uses for His works.
When we study the Book of Acts, Peter is one of the first people we encounter in Acts 3:1, and he's a prime example of someone who is not perfect. He was a simple fisherman who was unschooled, fearful, unstable, impulsive, and insecure. He was a sinner.
In Jesus' own family lineage, found in Matthew 1, we see a list of people who continually fell short. Their sins were large and unmistakable. Their names and stories were written in the Bible for all to see.
God chooses men and women like that; normal, everyday people like you and me. God chooses us to make a difference in His Kingdom! None of us are unworthy or unusable to Him.
May we allow God to use us to be difference makers in His Kingdom this new year!
