Friday Devotional – Finding It
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
— 1 Corinthians 10:31
So many people long for JOY in their lives. I hear it all the time. It’s pursued relentlessly in some cases. In other cases it’s just something they would at least want a little more of. The problem is that so many of us try to find that joy in places where it won’t be found. We try to find it in things, status, friends, or work. Just to name a few. But where does real joy come from? How can we get it? How can we grab hold of it, no matter what happens in life, and still possess it. It is found at its source. It’s found in a relationship with Jesus. The Bible says that we can be strong and courageous in everything, that we don’t need to be afraid of anything, no matter what, for the Lord our God is with us. It says that He will never leave us or forsake us. That truth is our source. Let’s let this assurance soak into our hearts and minds, so we can overflow with JOY, as we walk steadily along the path of life.
