God is eternal and perfect and gives us what we need. We have so much to be thankful for - yet God does want us to continually seek him and bring requests before Him. Today's world is challenging and there seemingly are many gray areas. We cannot hope to do this on our own. Thankfully God does listen to us and is there to help.

In 1 Kings, King Solomon, David's son, is starting his reign and the Lord appears to him. The Lord told Solomon to ask for whatever he wished, Solomon asked for a discerning heart, and this greatly pleased the Lord. Solomon wrote several books of the Bible, one being Proverbs where it is heavily detailed how praiseworthy the pursuit of Wisdom is.

Make time today to ask God for a discerning heart and to thank Him for truth.
