Hopefully many of you were able to show some love to your moms or other significant women yesterday as our country celebrated Mother's Day.

Today I'd like to encourage you to continue loving as you go through today, tomorrow and all the days in future. John 13:34-35, Jesus says this," ³⁴ So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. ³⁵ Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”

What does it look like to love like Jesus did? Jesus showed love in many ways, but one of the most remarkable ways was when he loved people that scorned and mocked him or when he showed love to people that the world often ignores.

Loving our own mothers often comes easy. To love like Jesus did, challenge yourself to love someone that isn't in your immediate friend or family circle. Maybe someone that is a complete stranger or even an enemy. In doing this others will know we are Christ's followers.
