Monday Mission - The Greatest Act of Love
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
— 1 Corinthians 10:31
Yesterday we all had the opportunity to celebrate the foundation of Christianity and the greatest act of love ever known – the Empty Tomb! With Easter we celebrate the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies and promises through God sending his one and only Son to become the perfect sacrifice. He paid the price for our sins through his death on the cross, and Easter Sunday is the celebration that death could not hold him! When Sunday came, the tomb was found empty. Our Redeemer lives!
This is the greatest Act of love ever know and it is famously summed up by 2 beautiful verses in the New Testament book of John, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” -John 3:16-17.
This beautiful act of love is the center of our Christian Faith and needs to be celebrated 365 days a year - not just on Easter! Today’s Monday Mission is to carry the Joy, Love, and Hope from Easter with you today and always even after Easter Sunday has passed for the year.
