Monday Mission – Wait
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
— 1 Corinthians 10:31
Last week I had the opportunity to do something I had never done before…ride a ski lift. As I rode one lift, 2000 ft. off of the ski base, there were some things that struck me: When you ride a ski lift, there’s literally nothing you can do to change your future. You can’t speed it up, you can’t slow it down, you can’t change course, and you can’t get off the chair to do whatever you want to. Simply, you have to wait. But it’s in the moments of waiting that you also anticipate what’s coming. Sometimes in life, we feel stuck…we can’t go anywhere at the speed we want and we can’t change the course either! This can be very frustrating! We simply have to wait on God and anticipate that he knows what’s coming is best. I took this picture when we reached the top of this mountain that displays God’s majesty.
If you are waiting for something today, trust in the Lord with all your heart that he is getting ready to prepare his majesty for you!
