Thursday Thought - Where do you see the majesty and power of God?
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
— 1 Corinthians 10:31
Does God show his power in big miracles or tiny moments? Is his majesty displayed in the Grand Canyon or the pile of ants on the sidewalk? How about the public speaker declaring a message from God versus a prayer offered in silence? God calls us to see his majestic works and praise his name. His majestic works might not always be what we think of as majestic. He’s the God of grand events and the God that sits with us in our smallest, quietest moments. He’s the God that parts seas or whispers truth directly into our souls. For me that’s what makes God’s majesty so unfathomable. He’s there for it all. The loud, crazy, earth-shaking moments and the dark, quiet, silence. Both are majestic, both glorify God. He’s the God of the storms and the sunrises. He’s the peace we have during and after the storms of life. He’s the steady, unwavering truth that we all seek. And because of that we can praise his name through it all.
Psalm 111:1-3 1 Praise the Lord! I will thank the Lord with all my heart as I meet with his godly people. 2 How amazing are the deeds of the Lord! All who delight in him should ponder them. 3 Everything he does reveals his glory and majesty. His righteousness never fails.
