Thursday Thoughts - Glasses Smudges
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
— 1 Corinthians 10:31
If you're a fellow glasses-wearer like myself, you'll know how frequently you have to wipe your lenses clean. I keep those little clothes all over the place, in my desk, my car, my purse, my medicine cabinet, etc. It's funny how a spec of dust or a smudge can distort your vision so much, but a simple wipe of a cloth clears the lens and brings your visibility back to fullness.
Life can be like this too. We may feel wronged by someone or dwell too long on a problem which distorts our view of others or ourselves, much like a smudge on a glasses lens. What we need is to wipe clean our perspective through grace and forgiveness in order to have a clear view the way God intends.
"Try to understand other people. Forgive each other. If you have something against someone, forgive him. That is the way the Lord forgave you." Colossians 3:13 NLV
May your glasses stay clean and your visibility of others be clear through the lens of grace and forgiveness.
