Continued from Genesis 22: 1-19. Another interesting aspect of this story is that Isaac's father, Abraham, was much older and probably much weaker than he was. So, reading through verse 9, Abraham built an altar and arranged the wood on it when they arrived at the place God had told him about. He bound Isaac and placed him on top of the wood on the altar. My thoughts are as follows: why would Isaac freely lay down on the wood altar? What did Abraham say to him to get his much stronger and faster son to freely lay down on the altar?

Which brings me to my question. Would I free listen if God asked me to do something, or would I fight God for what he wants from me? There may be something God is calling you to do, and you will most likely flee because it is too uncomfortable for you. I challenge you to go throw with it and see what God is trying to teach you.
