Tuesday Truth - Change is Constant
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
— 1 Corinthians 10:31
My 6 year old had his first memory verse challenge at school this past week. It was Genesis 8:22 which reads:
“As long as the earth endures,
seed time and harvest,
cold and heat,
summer and winter,
day and night
will never cease.”
This verse comes right after the flood waters had subsided and God sent a rainbow as a sign to Noah and his family that he would never send a flood of that magnitude ever again. Naturally I read this verse a few dozen times as I helped my son. It provided me with two helpful reminders:
1. Change is inevitable, what we have today won't last forever - we should always be planning ahead for what may come next
2. With the Lord "hope springs eternal" for those in a tough spot. He promises change, new seasons, a new day...lean into Him during the tough times in life, He will never give you more than you can handle and will see you through it all in His time.
