Tuesday Truth - Most High Shelter
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
— 1 Corinthians 10:31
Here at the Support Center we have been looking closely at Psalm 91 over the last few days. Below you will find a passage of this text that I find comforting. This portion of the passage makes reference to the opening verse, referring to making God your Most High dwelling. How comforting is it to know that those who make God their dwelling place, no harm will 'overtake you'. This takes daily discipline and continual pursuance of Him, but the assurance we find in him and the promise of His Kingdom come triumphs over anything this world can through at you.
9 If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,”
and you make the Most High your dwelling,
10 no harm will overtake you,
no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
14 “Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
