It is easy to think that because we did something wrong (sin) that we cannot be loved. And especially cannot be loved by Jesus, the Son of God. However, the Bible clearly shows that is just not true. God sent His only Son to earth to die BECAUSE we are sinners. And BECAUSE He loves us so much. If we weren't sinners and we didn't mess up, we wouldn't NEED Jesus and would never have needed God to send Jesus to die for us. That is a truth that we can live with today!

1 John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Psalm 103:10-12 "He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His steadfast love toward those who fear Him; as far as the east is from the west, so far does He remove our transgressions from us."
