My wife and I have been going through the Psalms and after reading Psalm 6 this past weekend, the word "mercy" stood out to me. The sinners that we are, we don't deserve his grace and mercy, but he gives it to us anyway.

Psalm 6: 2-3
Have mercy on me, Lord, for I am faint;
heal me, Lord, for my bones are in agony.
My soul is in deep anguish.
How long, Lord, how long?

Psalm 6: 9
The Lord has heard my cry for mercy;
the Lord accepts my prayer.
