We never want to be hypocritical. Whether we like it or not, It can be easy to be hypocritical in our faith without even knowing it. We can talk the talk about how we go to church, how our kids are part of the youth group at church, how we believe in Jesus, etc. However, if we aren’t showing love to those around us and truly striving to grow closer to God, then the things we say are pretty meaningless. James 2:17 says, “So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead." 1 John 3:18 says, “Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” The Bible has so much to say about letting our truth show through our actions and not just our words. There is nothing wrong with speaking love to others. However, it’s important to take it a step farther and show love to others with our actions as well. Be true to what you say!
