A few years ago I read a book called the Christmas Jar and it was a powerful message of giving to others.

They took an empty jar and everyday put loose change and on occasion would put in bills too. During the holiday season they would find one person in need and secertly give them the jar full of money. The receipents of the jar were overwelmed with the money they received. When they got back on their feet they also started a christmas jar to pay it forward.

This story encourged me and we to started a christmas jar and we were able to give to a friend that was in need during this season of life. This meant so much to my friend and also helped me to fill that we were sharing the blessings that God has given us.
