Recently I was reading in Leviticus 16, and all the laws and requirements can be a lot to understand and figure out. So many exact measures and procedures for everything. It can be challenging to see how this could apply to our lives today. As I read through the laws for making atonement I reflected on how easy it is for us to receive God's grace and forgiveness now. Before Jesus death on the cross atonement could only be made through the High Priests and involved animal sacrifice with animal blood covering for the sins. When Jesus came he became the High Priest and fulfilled all the requirements through his death on the cross. This put an end to the need for anymore animal blood to be shed. Today I'm thankful that we have direct access to go to Jesus anytime with our sins and receive the grace he offers. Today let's celebrate the truth that we serve a loving God who can wipe away our sins and remembers them no more.

Acts 3:19 Now repent of your and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away.
