As we look forward to the hope of Easter, we remember that Jesus is the resurrection and the life. We look around us and see evidence of a decaying world full of grief, heartache, guilt and pain. But Jesus' resurrection gives us hope that we don't have to stay here in our mess. When we repent and come to Him, He makes us new. We now have the promise of a new resurrected life in the now, and of a new world with Him in the future. Death is not the end, but the doorway to a new beginning.

²⁵ Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; ²⁶ and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
