God can be trusted. God’s ways are higher than our ways. It can be hard to understand when trials come our way, but God can be trusted. He knows infinitely more and loves us more that we can comprehend. Yet, we live in a fallen, imperfect world and until the glorious day when Christ returns, we will have to battle various trials and the evil that plagues this creation. Times of trial, challenges with natural disasters, untimely death or just the general weariness of life can cause us to doubt. When doubt creeps in, breathe deep and remember that God’s given us his Spirit to walk with us through life’s trials. He hasn’t forgotten or overlooked you, he’s right there with you. Trusting him continually can help give us assurance and confidence that our trials, although painful, are temporary and that our suffering may serve a greater purpose.

Romans 5:3-5 ³ We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. ⁴ And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. ⁵ And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.
